Met Gala 2025 commenced on 5 May at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts, New York, hosting some of the best dressed celebrities and designers boasting their works of art. With all eyes on the Blue Carpet rolled out yesterday, here are some of the Indian Celebrities who flaunted and those who failed to meet the expectations at the Met, ranked here.
Diljith Dosanjh
A literal prince walked down the steps of Met, stealing hearts in his regal fashion piece. Diljith Dosanjh styled by Prabal Gurung from head to toe Royal attire, also channeled the pride of his Punjabi Swag. A complete serve, one that was never expected but much needed to showcase the Indian and Nepalese talents on the Global stage, done right.
Manish Malhotra
It is a night to remember for Manish Malhotra as all of his designs adorned by Coco Jones, Natasha Poonawalla and himself were some of the best and stand out pieces. Manish Malhotra was seen wearing a Black floor length suit over a satin white shirt, adding contrast and layers with his own gorgeous animal brooches completing the iconic look.
Isha Ambani
Reigning her Met Gala win from last year, Isha Ambani took the business of dressing up seriously as she should and delivered one of a kind fashion moment this year. Dressed up by Anamika Khanna, the billionaire brought in confidence in couture with an embroidered look that took over 20,000 hours and paired it with her very own heirloom jewels.
Natasha Poonawalla
Glam Queen of Indian fashion, Natasha Poonawalla has never not served her expectations. For her Met Gala look, Natasha Poonawalla opted for a Manish Malhotra masterpiece that will definitely go on the Met Gala books. A pearl encrusted bralet topped with a cape and skirt filled with Parsi embroidery and a unique neck piece. The pearl droppings from the hat finishes the look into a historic one.
Mona Patel
The mystery girl arrives again at the Met Gala and gives us all the energy we needed, wearing a custom Thom Browne and in her own style includes mechanics this year too. After giving us the magical and practical butterflies last year, this year Mona Patel is joined by her plus one, Victor, a robot dog created by MIT, with a 1000- carat leash and a custom suit too.

On her fifth consecutive year at the Met Gala, the global icon who seems to grasp the power and harness it for her will, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas arrived in chic style. The duo stepped out wearing customised Balmain outfits. Priyanka wore a polka dot fitted dress and a dapper hat while Nick Jonas was seen in a flowy loose tie situation on a white shirt.
शाहरुख खान
The King Khan landed in New York without much of a crew yet delivered an unexpected suit moment for his first Met Gala Runway. With stacked Sabyasaachi jewellery and Bengal Tiger Head Cane, Shah Rukh Khan appeared in a low cut shirt topped by an open elongated cloak, finished by a satin Kamarbandh, a subtle showcase.
Kiara Advani
Kiara Advani had a special plus one on the Met Gala carpet as Gaurav Gupta carefully curated the whole look specially for the Mommy to be and the sweet bump. With Gaurav Gupta’s signature gold plated body piece, Kiara Advani sported a black dress and a not so matching or suiting long cape.
