Tamil actor Ravi Mohan formerly known as Jeyam Ravi has now broken his silence and released a statement regarding his divorce, marriage life, kids and his relationship with singer Keneesha Francis. The actor posted a 4 page statement that revealed some of the most personal and unsaid moments of the actorโs life and also clarifies his stand on the ongoing online discussion on his private matters.
Ravi Mohan and his wife Aarti Ravi were married for 16 years and maintained a good balanced social life, the couple announced their divorce earlier this year with the final court proceedings in February. While fans and public were surprised about the announcement, the couple at first maintained silence which was broken by Aarti who denied her consent in announcing the divorce among a couple other statements including the recent post with her children.
As a response for the first time, Actor Ravi Mohan released a statement on Thursday (15/05/2025) that is stated as โFirst and Final One from my Deskโ. The statement revealed some of the actorโs vulnerable times and personal notes about his marriage, something he has never brought to the public forum.
โAs an adult and as a survivor of years of physical, mental, emotional, and severe financial abuse, (sad to add)โ, he wrote. He also revealed that he was stripped away from meeting his parents and was forced to work on projects he was not interested in. The statement also focused on him choosing to walk away from the marriage and how the decision was not made lightly.
His following clarification after several recent online comments that questioned his role as a father to his sons led to him writing this. โWhat breaks me most is seeing my children used as tools in a public narrative rooted in financial gain and to sway public sympathyโ, he wrote with sentiment as he also mentioned how his children are not allowed to speak with him as โBouncers now accompany them almost everywhere to prevent me from even seeing or approaching my own childrenโ.
Addressing the financial abuse allegation, Ravi Mohan revealed the outrageous compensations that he was paying โin the guise of “lifestyle” which is THE root cause of my financial misery right now.โ He also revealed how his mother-in-law and wife Aarti were using his name and personality to sign off as surety for โmulti crore loanโ and how he was even contacted 10 days ago โher mother forced me to act and compensate for the surety I gave for her loans.โ
Ravi Mohan also addressed about his relationship with Keneesha Francis, a singer and spiritual therapist who was linked from the beginning of the divorce rumours to the recent spotting in a popular wedding with the actor. He clarified that he and Keneesha were just friends and that she was helping him from all these crises. He shared a vivid and vulnerable memory of how he stripped off his wealth, saying, โI left my own home barefoot, in a night suit – when I was stripped of my wallet, my vehicles, documents, my belongings and even my basic dignity.โ Calling Keneesha a โBeautiful Companionโ, he also defended her by saying, โNo one can be a HOME-WRECKER or destroy my life.โ
