SSC CGL Exam 2025: Exam Date, How to Apply, Fee and Details 

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) exams are announced for registration for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2025. The official announcement was released on 9 June 2025, applicants can now submit their application online at ssc.gov.in until 4 July 2025.

Tier-I computer-based examination (CBE) for 2025 is tentatively scheduled to be held from 

August 13 to August 30, 2025, while Tier-II is expected to take place in December 2025. The examination is scheduled to happen from 13 – 30 August 2025 in online mode.

Things to know before applying for SSC 2025

• Candidates must ensure they meet all eligibility criteria before applying.
•  The application process includes a one-time registration, filling out the application form, uploading required documents, and paying the application fee.

SSC 2025: Application fee and correction window

Candidates applying need to pay ₹100 as an application fee to complete the process. The exam commission has also allowed two correction windows. Candidates can edit the form once by paying ₹200 and a second time by paying ₹500.

How to register for SSC CGL Exam 2025

Here is the step by step breakdown for registering for the exam: 

1. Visit the official website of SSC at ssc.gov.in

2. Click on the “New User? Register Now” link

3. Fill in personal details such as name, contact number, nationality, education, and address

4. Complete the one-time registration process

5. Log in with the registration number and password

6. Fill out the detailed application form

7. Upload scanned images of your photograph and signature

8. Review all details carefully

9. Pay the application fee online through credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI

10. Download and print the completed application form
