Malayalam Films Make Digital Debut: Fresh OTT Releases Between August 18–24, 2025

With family dramas and niche plots of Malayalam and South Indian films making it big on streaming platforms this week, it’s no wonder many of these films have gained low-key popularity by way of family drama and niche plot. Five most anticipated titles that are released in the time period August 18 to 24, 2025, are available on OTT platforms such as NetFlix, Prime Video, ज़ी5, SonyLIV, Manorama Max, Saina Play, लायंसगेट प्ले, Sun NXT, और Aha Video. Star-Studded Premieres Across Leading OTT Platforms

Maareesan, starring Fahadh Faasil और Vadivelu, is one of the biggest highlights that will get its release on Netflix on August 22 in a variety of languages. Following the story of lies and betrayal, the mesmerising drama combines feelings with unexpected twists.

Joining the lineup is Thalaivan Thalaivi, which has Vijay Sethupathi और Nithya Menen in it. Since its box office triumph in July, the movie will be made available on Prime Video on August 22. It addresses the issue of challenges in marriage that are influenced by family constraints, which affect viewers directly.

The film Vysanasametham Bandhumithradhikal had hit the screens in June and will be available on streaming service Manorama Max starting August 15 so that you could rewatch the heartwarming movie.
