Operation Sindoor Repercussion: Airports of these cities closed until further notice. Know What they are!

A counter attack has been carried out by the Indian Armed Forces at nine terrorist camp in Pakistan

India is buzzing since midnight after a maverick action carried out by the Indian Armed Forces and it has been launched in the name of ‘OPERATION SINDOOR’. Through this, the terrorist camps at nine various places in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Jammu & Kashmir were attacked with accuracy. It sparked the restlessness and tension at the border of the country and people are moving from their residents as a part of securing themselves from further chaos. 

Why Operation Sindoor?

India has been maintaining peaceful bilateral ties amidst the series of border terrorism that were carried out for the past years and the Indian government decided to counter attack after the inhuman attack by the terrorists on the civilians at Pahalgam which took place on 22 April 2025. Late Tuesday, the Indian Armed Forces successfully launched their mission at nine sites located in Pakistan. 

Airports Closed:

Following this ‘Operation Sindoor’ the leading airlines including SpiceJet, Indigo, Air India and Akash Air has togetherly announced that,

“Due to the ongoing situation, airports in parts of northern India, including Dharamshala, Leh, Jammu, Srinagar, and Amritsar, are closed until further notice. Departures, arrivals, and consequential flights may be impacted. Passengers are advised to plan their journey accordingly and check flight status” 

The Airports that will remain closed are,

  • Dharamsala
  • Leh
  • Rajkot
  • Jammu
  • Srinagar
  • Bhuj
  • Jamnagar
  • Amritsar 
  • Jodhpur
  • Chandigarh
