‘Padutha Teeyaga Silver Jubilee Series’ a popular singing show broadcasted on ETV Telugu and the 19 year old Pravasthi Aradhya shook the internet with her claims against one of the Judges of the show singer Sunitha, lyricist Chandrabose and the acclaimed music director MM Keeravani. Pravasthi said that she did not encounter direct harassment from all these persons, instead the biased opinions and judgments over her performances, and the music director giving positive compliments to the singers who chose the songs composed by him showcased that overtly.

“Sunitha garu always looked disgusted whenever I came on stage. She also badmouthed me to Keeravaani garu about my talent. When she said that, my earpiece was plugged in, and she didn’t know it” said Pravasthi on the video.
Pravasthi expressed the strong resentment over singer Sunitha whom she said was humiliated behind the screens and the influence of that one particular judge resulted in the elimination from the reality show.
“They treated me like I was worthless and cracked jokes about my body. I did not expect this from them at all because I have participated in numerous singing shows. The production often pressured me to wear sarees and tie them low to expose my navel. Even the costume designer told me to my face he couldn’t dress me better because of my body. My self-esteem and confidence have taken a hit” she added.
Pravasthi took part in the reality shows from a very young age and earned the fans both in Tamil & Telugu speaking houses by participating in Zee Telugu’s SAREGAMAPA and Vijay TV’s Super Singer Junior. Fans are expressing their concern and support to the young singer Pravasthi via social media posts. And some claim that such a biased approach in a reality show could ruin the career of the growing individual in a creative field. These allegations dilute the credibility of the reality show among the audiences.
