American Actress and Singer Connie Francis known for her hit single ‘Pretty Little Baby’ has died after being hospitalised in Florida on Wednesday. The news was revealed by the singer’s friend Ron Roberts through फेसबुक.
Francis passed away only weeks after her song ‘Pretty Little Baby’ got massive attention and millions of streams on the internet. The song was originally released in 1962 and somehow became an instant hit in TikTok and other social media platforms.
American singer-actress Connie Francis, known for her 1962 hit song Pretty Little Baby, died at the age of 87 on Wednesday in a Florida hospital, her friend Ron Roberts said on Thursday.
“It is with a heavy heart and extreme sadness that I inform you of the passing of my dear friend Connie Francis last night. I know that Connie would approve that her fans are among the first to learn of this sad news. More details will follow later,” Roberts, also the president of Francis’s record label Concetta Records, revealed on Facebook.
Francis was in serious pain and was admitted to the hospital on 2 June, but was updating her fans on Facebook that she was “feeling better” on 4 June.
Her track ‘Pretty Little Baby’ was a chart topper in the 50s and 60s and has surprisingly made a massive resurgence in 2025, thanks to the popularity of the usage of the audio in reels and posts. The song became a trending one with millions of users making reels and using it as a background for their posts.
Francis was suffering from age-related issues and was taking treatment for orthopedic issues and was admitted in the hospital for the same. Stupid Cupid, Who’s Sorry Now, and Where the Boys Are are some of Francis’ popular chartbusters from the 50s.
