While the Hindi cinema industry has been under scrutiny for remaking and roping in star actors from the South, it is safe to say that the upcoming Rom-Com projects are promising. From the surprise sequel set in Metro to fresh pairing, here are the lined up Romantic Comedies.
Param Sundari
A fresh pair up brewing in Hindi cinema, Janhvi Kapoor and Siddharth Malhotra are roped in to play the leads in and as ‘Param Sundari’. The movie poster in relation to the title has Siddarth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor sporting the traditional outfit from Kerala. First schedule was wrapped in Kerala by February.

Metro… In Dino
A feelgood sequel in making, ‘Metro….In Dino’ from Anurag Basu has a large ensemble of cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Konkana Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta and Anupam Kher. Love stories of contemporary couples tied together in a metropolitan city.

Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai
Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur, Pooja Hegde and Mouni Roy are now in production shooting abroad. A summer flick which is currently under production which recently confirmed its release date. The movie also has Chunkey Pandey, Kubbra Sait, Rohit Saraf, Maniesh Paul, Jimmy Sherghil and many others.

Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri
Another spiritual sequel that has Kartik Aryan and Ananya Pandey in the leading roles is ‘Tum Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. The movie has Kartik Aryan in a groomed and trimmed look and has started filming just days back.

Chand Mera Dil
Dharma Productions is coming up with not one but two Rom-Coms, and everything is normal in Bollywood. ‘Chand Mera Dil’ will have Lakshya and Ananya Pandey as leads with the makers dropping wholesome and magical posters during announcing the movie.

O Saathi Re
A dreamy cast with Aditi Rao Hydari, Avinash Tiwari and Arjun Rampal in Netflix’s ‘O Saathi Re’, what the writer and showrunner Imtiaz Ali states, “A modern story with a vintage heart, an enchanted fairy tale set in the fiasco of Metropolitan life.”

Untitled Kartik & Sree Leela Movie
Director Anurag Basu is working double time with two films in line. His second film in production which is yet to be titled has Kartik Aryan and Sree Leela on her Hindi movie debut as leads. The musical is said to be the third edition of ‘Aashiqui’ franchise but nothing is yet confirmed.
