The United Arab Emirates comprises Seven emirates – Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ajman, Sharjah, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. The seven Emirati nations each have their own rulers, rooted family line and rich history and what binds them all together for a peaceful governance is the 1971 Union.
The union was not just for the sake of politics as the trust between the families in governing the country into progress as a whole. The rulers all work together in prioritising their country and working together from national security to defense and other sectors.
The Emirati rulers are also united with trust and have established Harmony through their decades of ties. Outstandingly, there have been Zero coups, zero revolutions in the region. The UAE stands out as a rare Middle Eastern state with no history of violent power transitions since its founding in 1971.
The Rulers convene in the Federal Supreme Council to decide on national matters, a model of shared governance rooted in trust. Just like any other region, the rulers and their regions have unique identity and thus promote their strengths as their USP.
The Hereditary succession also means reliability, futuristic planning and trustable collaboration with known, long term fellow rulers. Here are the ruling families and their positions and roles in the government.
