Tim David Wins Creates IPL History – Wins POTM after RCB’s Loss

IPL 2025 has been one of the charts as teams are constantly breaking and making records. RCB’s Tim David creates one for himself, a lone record never achieved in IPL history.

Tim David, the Australian cricketer scouted by RCB for IPL has created a unique record, never seen before in the 18 seasons of Indian Premier League history. After a brutal 50 off 26 deliveries, an impressive fleet that couldn’t make RCB win the game.

Nonetheless, David’s knock reverberated echoes and chants in their home ground. But what is more interesting is Tim David’s impressive award winnings at the post match presentation as no other player from the losing side has ever won Player of the Match award in IPL so far.  A truly unique record in IPL, Tim David’s continuous sixes also bagged him Most Sixes and Most Fours of the Match Award. 

The list continues as the Middle Order Batsman also got the Super Striker of the Match and Fantasy King of the Match. The match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings was cut short for 14 overs due to rain. Straight off RCB could only muster up a total of 95 runs in the allotted overs with 7 wickets down for a meager 47 runs. It was Tim David’s brute force and 50 runs off the quick blows saved RCB’s embarrassing scorecard.

Although Royal Challengers Bangalore were challenged at their home ground yesterday against Punjab Kings who continued their winning streak, Tim David’s performance was highly praised by the devoted fans. Even ending up on the losing side, Tim David won 5 awards in the game, also stepping up and reversing his out of touch form from his last matches. 

RCB is currently standing at Number 4 with 3 loses in 5 games while PBKS is positioned at 2 with 3 wins from 5 games.
