Commercial LPG and aviation turbine fuel prices increased across India from September 1, 2026, raising operating costs for restaurants, hotels and airlines. While domestic LPG prices remain unchanged, commercial kitchens face higher cylinder prices and airlines are paying more for ATF after a second consecutive monthly increase.

The Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project could now cost around ₹2.1 lakh crore, nearly double its original ₹1.08 lakh crore estimate. Land delays, prolonged construction, approvals and changes in train procurement have contributed to the sharp increase.

Uttar Pradesh has approved new labour rules requiring covered private establishments with at least 10 employees to provide appointment letters. The framework also strengthens workplace health, safety, welfare and protections for women working night shifts.
