Ranbir Kapoor & Sai Pallavi’s past remarks creates backlash for ‘Ramayana’; #BoycottBollywood surfaces again

The Ramayana stars are now under fire for their past comments on eating beef and terrorism as some users are bashing the casting choice of the movie.

The first glimpse of the much awaited Ramayana by Nitesh Tiwary had the initial excitement among fans until some found the loopholes to troll and criticise the casting. Actor Ranbir Kapoor is playing the role of Ram, the titular character of the movie who is also a beloved religious deity in India.

The actor who has been active for decades in Hindi cinema is now facing backlash over his role as Ram after a comment from him dating several years back where he is said to be a ‘big beef guy’. This inturn has triggered several internet users who have come out and posted that he is unfit to be playing the role of Lord Ram.

Meanwhile actress Sai Pallavi who has always been candid about her thoughts with the media is also under attack for her comments on terrorism and the conflict between India and Pakistan. She is also trolled for her looks as internet users are comparing her role as Sita and the casting of actress Kajal in the role of Mandodari.

Sai Pallavi only a few months ago was praised for her natural looks and stunning acting performances in several movies is now being trolled for her looks only on the basis of her looks. Many users have defended the actress and her role as Sita is perfect for her elegance and grace.

Both the actors have proven their range and skills in taking on challenging roles and were even considered the perfect casting when ‘Ramayana’ was announced. Many even questioned the need for the movie after the failure of ‘Adipurush’ but are now convinced with the first glimpse.

‘Ramayana Part- 1’ has high stakes with a massive budget of 1600 crores rolled out and a plethora of talented actors have been roped in. Music by AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer is also the talk of the town and so Nitesh Tiwary is all geared up for the movie with more positives than negatives.
