The Malayalam Bigg Boss is making headlines for its innovative promo ahead of the season premiere as the host and Malayalam super star Mohanlal takes a dig at past criticisms and reckless behaviour inside the house.
Mohanlal is seen sitting in an airport setting with five business class tickets, addressing season 6 contestant Jaanmoni Das who made a controversial comment that she flies only in business class. The dialogue is played in the background as Mohanlal smirks and says, “No such plays this season, I’ll tear it off”, hinting at much stricter rules for Season 7.
Much earlier criticism was based on how Mohanlal was not bothering about ‘gossip teams’ inside the house and other major comments were addressed by the channel in the earlier promos. This sets the tone and a shift in the theme of the upcoming season.
Malayalam Bigg Boss has also been shot in a set in Chennai and for the first time in 7 seasons, there is a permanent set built for the Malayalam Bigg Boss in Chennai, cementing that the producers are looking forward to continuing the reality show.
Bigg Boss Season 7 Malayalam will be airing in the usual prime slots every day from 3rd August and the contestants for the season are expected to be arriving in Chennai from 31 July. Season 7 will be unique in another aspect as the show will now have a common public in the mix of contestants, expecting even more popularity among the audience.
Many rumoured contestants such as Anumol, Aryan Kathuria, Shanavas Shanu, and Kalabhavan Sariga. On the other hand, actors Rekha Ratheesh, Avantika Mohan, and Roshan Basheer have publicly denied their involvement in the show. No confirmed contestants have been revealed yet.
The theme of Season 7 is ‘Hell and Heaven’, also reflecting a stealthy season with more new rules and a secretive tag line for this season ‘Ezhinte Pani’ leaves the audience in darkness as to what to expect.
