One of the most fatal news stories that shook the world as a London headed flight from Ahmedabad crashed seconds after take-off, killing 241 on board, leaving one sole ‘miracle’ survivor. A truly saddening headline with heartbreaking stories of hopeful passengers heading to London with only one surprising survivor is all that is spoken.
The Air Indian 171 plane faced what some reports suggest technical difficulties, crashed on a Medical College hostel near the airport, also taking the lives of 5 doctors on Thursday. The deeply triggering incident is one of the most devastating aviation accidents in recent years. With 242 on board including two pilots, flight crew and passengers, 241 casualties were announced, one miraculous survivor of seat 11A walked out the crash site, bloodied and bruised.
Vishwash Kumar Ramesh – The Miracle Survivor of 11A
Among the passengers were two brothers travelling to London’s Gatwick Airport, returning after visiting their family. Vishwash Kumar Ramesh recalled the take off incident saying, “Thirty seconds after takeoff, there was a loud noise and then the plane crashed. It all happened so quickly”, sadly the only living passenger from the crash.
Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, the passenger of seat 11A apparently jumped out of the plane through the emergency exit. He had a dazed and startled look in his eye as the media followed him walking away from the crash site. The Brit’s brother sadly passed away from the crash, along with the rest of the passengers.
Indian media has revealed a travel ticket of Vishwash Kumar, not officially confirmed, while some reports also suggest that he has swapped places at the last minute and sat at seat 11A, which is now called by major tabloids as ‘Miraculous’, and rightfully so.
He is currently under medical care although is not severely injured and will be discharged within the next couple of days.
Former CM Vijay Rupani and lucky number ‘1206’
The crash also killed the Former Chief Minister of Gujarat, Vijay Rupani who was in the flight heading to visit his family in London. While chilling images of a passenger selfie with Rupani spotted in the background surfacing, more coincidences are discussed.

Vijay Rupani was said to have had his lucky number ‘1206’ as his vehicle registration number and was used to it. The number eerily coincides with the crash date – 12 June 2025 (12/06/2025). This news broke the internet as many have reported the sad connection.
It is also said that Rupani was to travel with his wife on the 5 June but had changed the plan to stay back and campaign for West Ludhiana bypoll said Punjab BJP chief Sunil Jakhar.
While the recovery of DNA from close relatives and the passengers are underway, the victims’ families are stuck in sorrow, awaiting identification and confirmation of their loved ones at Gujarat. The horrifying and frightening coincidents of a sole passenger survival and the tragic deaths of hopeful families, children are pulling the heartstrings.
