Professional Archers around the world representing their countries have gathered in Shanghai on Sunday for the Archery World Cup 2025. India had bagged 7 Medals with 5 coming from the compound category and the rest from recurved.

Indian recurve archers Deepika Kumari and Parth Salunkhe won Bronze medals at the Shanghai World Cup 2025 in their respective categories. Veteran archer Deepika bagged her 37th World Cup Medal and 12th individual with the Bronze win over South Korea’s Kang Chae- young. Parth won over France’s Baptiste Addis, making a huge jump to the podium from being ranked 60th out of 64, after scoring 6- 4 in Men’s Recurve event.

While Parth continues his streak from Florida World Cup, him in the India’s Recurve Trios couldn’t bag any medals as the Men’s Trio – Tarundeep Rai, Atanu Das and Dhiraj not winning any and Women’s Trio – Deepika Kumari, Ankita Bahat and Anshika Kumari also falling short.

With the Korean team winning the Gold and Silver, Deepika Kumari blocked the final podium by winning the Bronze by finishing off with perfect final sets of 30 and 29, in the order. “I didn’t expect anything from me. My mission is different. That is very important for me because there is a different environment, a different feeling, a little anxiety, a little happiness. I want to achieve that [gold] in that place”, said Deepika speaking to World Archery.
