Known for his heartfelt lyrics and acoustic charm, Sheeran is expanding his sonic palette by blending his signature style with sounds from around the world.

Unlike his previous math-themed records, ‘Play’ launches a new five-part “symbol” series that includes upcoming titles like Pause, Rewind, and Fast Forward. This shift marks a fresh creative phase for Ed, and he’s kicking it off with a bold acoustic-pop fusion.

Here’s what we know so far:

• “Azizam” (April 2025) – A soft, melodic track influenced by Persian music, featuring traditional instruments and themes of longing.
• “Old Phone” (May 2025) – A deeply personal song built from actual texts and notes found on Sheeran’s old iPhone.
