Ben Affleck’s kidnapping thriller Animals arrives on October 9. The Diplomat returns for Season 4 on October 15, followed by Nobody Wants This Season 3 on October 22 and Lupin Part 4 on October 23. Prime Video October 2026 Lineup Mixes Indian And Global Titles
Prime Video opened October with Dupahiya Season 2 on October 1. The eight-episode return to Dhadakpur follows Roshni’s SSC preparation, a mobile-tower dispute and another village-wide mess. Prime Video’s Dupahiya listing confirms all eight episodes are available together.
Sardar 2 also reached Prime Video on October 1 after its theatrical run. October 7 then brings Carrie, Mike Flanagan’s television adaptation of Stephen King’s 1974 novel. Amazon says the complete eight-episode season arrives together. More than 1,000 actors read for the title role before Summer H. Howell was selected.
On October 21, Chris Pratt returns as James Reece in The Terminal List Season 2. All eight episodes are scheduled to premiere globally. Amazon’s official Terminal List Season 2 announcement confirms the date.
There is a wider Indian streaming trend behind that range. Prime Video India says nearly two-thirds of its customers watch content in more than four languages. Its 2026 slate contains close to 55 series and movies across Hindi, Tamil and Telugu alongside international programming.
JioHotstar October Releases Start With A ₹300-Crore Malayalam Hit
JioHotstar’s early headline is Bethlehem Kudumba Unit. The Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju romantic comedy began streaming on October 2 in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. The film crossed ₹300 crore worldwide during its theatrical run, giving its digital premiere considerably more attention than a routine catalogue addition.
Another unusual move arrives on October 16. Roadies Rebirth will stream simultaneously on Netflix and JioHotstar, with new episodes every Friday and Saturday at 7 pm. Netflix India also announced the dual-platform release through its official Instagram post.
Quick October Watchlist
- Family romance: Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, JioHotstar, October 2
- Horror: Carrie, Prime Video, October 7
- Reality TV: Roadies Rebirth, Netflix and JioHotstar, October 16
- Action thriller: The Terminal List Season 2, Prime Video, October 21
That spread shows how crowded October is: a ₹300-crore Malayalam film, a Stephen King adaptation and one of India’s longest-running reality franchises are chasing the same streaming audience.
Which October 2026 OTT Releases Should Viewers Track Next?
Release calendars can still change as platforms add post-theatrical premieres or confirm regional titles late. Netflix currently has the deepest month-long confirmed schedule, Prime Video has several franchise-led releases, while JioHotstar is leaning into major Indian films and shared-platform programming.
Check platform pages before each weekend, especially for dubbed-language availability or late date changes. Save the releases that fit your watchlist and return for updated October 2026 OTT releases as more titles are announced.
