14-day Visa Free Entry! Philippines Rolls Out Red Carpet Welcoming for Indian Travelers

Tourism is one of the important departments of Southeast Asian countries like the Philippines which receives significant revenue every year. And the governments are making drafts and announcing the changes in their visa policies based on the number of tourists who choose their country majorly or to attract the flocks of tourists towards them through strategic implications. Similarly, the Philippines announced their 14-day visa free entry specially for the Indian travelers. And the Indian travelers with the valid visas or residency permits in the U.S., UK, Schengen, Canada or Japan have the concession of staying in their country for 30 days. So, this policy is considered to be a jackpot to boost their tourism departments.

14 Day Visa Free Entry in Philippines

• The Philippines Department of Foreign Affairs and the Bureau of Immigration announced this policy officially on 7 June 2025.
• It came into effect on 8 June 2025.
• This policy will be applicable to all the Indian Passport holders.
• The Philippines welcomes nearly 80,000 visitors to their country in 2024 and to double this number, the Philippines tourism department has declared this game changing visa policy.
• Since, the Southeast Asian countries are frequently encountering both luxury and the predominant budget travelers to their countries this strategic move will definitely increase their targeted goal. 

What is the Process to Apply?

• Initially, you must be an Indian Passport Holder
• The passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry 
• To ensure the duration of your visit, you must submit the details of your – confirmed return ticket, and hotel/resort bookings
• You must have the proof to ensure your financial support during your visit (eg. your bank statement)
• An individual should be previously blacklisted or deported from the Philippines
• You will be requested to submit all the required documents at the immigration checkpoints
• Most Importantly no visa application is needed beforehand

The vision of the government has been well-received among the Indian travelers and it significantly impacted on the bookings to visit Philippines. As per the early data given on the sources like economic times the tourism department has encountered a 28% spike in the travel related searches about the Philippines.
