The Rising NorthEast Investors Summit 2025 was inaugurated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and he addressed the officials who took part in the magnificent event which includes chief ministers of the region, union ministers, bureaucrats, diplomats, top industry leaders Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani, Anil Agarwal among the others attended the inaugural session on 23 May 2025, Friday.
“To begin with, we have established a 150-bed comprehensive cancer hospital in Manipur. We are collaborating with Mizoram University on care of breast cancer using genomic data. In Guwahati, we have built an advanced molecular diagnostics and research lab, it will be among the largest in India.” – Mukesh Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Industries
On the first day of the summit the Chairman of Reliance Industries Mukesh Ambani has announced a striking investment in North Eastern states which would be around ₹75,000 crore and this investment will be focusing on producing a high-quality FMCG products in the region, 350 biogas plants, enlarging the telecom services, retail footprint and clean energy projects. He has also underpinned the setting up of a 150 bed cancer hospital in Manipur.

“Reliance has invested around Rs 30,000 crore in the region in the past 40 years. In the next five years, we will more than double our investments, with our target at Rs 75,000 crore” he added.
Reliance Industries is planning to invest in various sectors which includes Technology & AI, Clean Energy, Retail Expansion, Food Processing, Hospitality, FMCG Manufacturing, and Biogas infrastructure.
