One of the most unique records for a debutante starrer film in India as ‘Saiyaara’ without much grand promotions is making waves in the country with several thousands of ticket sales in Pre-booking sites and hype that pushed the makers for a Midnight show!
This is new for a film that has no star figure leading the promotions, as even director Mohit Suri is the only one doing interviews, not even the stars of the film seen anywhere. Starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, ‘Saiyaara’ is a cliche Mohit Suri romance that has quickly got the attention of fans who started anticipating for the release since the teaser.
The movie has recorded exceptional ticket bookings in sites and multiplexes have registered high sales since the ticket opening. PVR INOX reportedly has around 78k tickets sold while Cinepolis has sold 27k.
Saiyaara’s hype can be attributed to several factors like it is just like any Mohit Suri story where the depressed and troubled anti-hero who has everything like fame and money is being saved by a soulful and emotional beauty who then hurts them and leaves them. A solid trope that serves what it promises, leaving the audience to rely on something promising to watch.
Another huge factor for the movie to get the attention is the music. ‘Saiyaara’ follows the story of a rockstar who gets a new songwriter in his team and thus creates some of his best music. The title song and even the whole discography immediately became a huge hit among the fans, who were transported immediately to Suri’s previous films.
But the main reason for fans to be showering attention and excitement for the film is that pair – Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda are lighting the screens with their chemistry. The duo, on their debut film, easily makes the audience fall in love with them. From owning the screen individually, sticking to their characters and also creating sizzling rapport with their romance.
