Tharun Moorthy known for ‘Saudi Vellakka’ and the recent thriller ‘Thudarum’ is stepping up to direct some of the best talents in his project ‘Torpedo’. The project was announced on Thursday with the title poster shared by the director in his social media account, also revealing the exciting cast and crew.
‘Torpedo’ will have Tharun Moorthy joining hands with young Malayalam actors Naslen (Premalu), Ganapathi (Alappuzha Gymkhana) and popular Tamil actor Arjun Das (Master). The lead group of cast will also have actor Fahadh Faasil, an interesting pool of talents clubbing together under Moorthy’s direction for the first time.

The project is fueled by Ashiq Usman, the producer of beloved projects like ‘Bromance’, ‘Thallumaala’. Although Tharun Moorthy has written and co- written all of his three movies, ‘Torpedo’ is yet to have an official sign of him penning as actor and Moorthy’s long term collaborator Binu Papu will be writing for the project. The title and the poster suggests that the film could be a sea adventure or at least based on the ocean, as also mentioned in the official caption that read, “The journey continues…..!! With Torpedo, we dive into deeper waters.”
‘Torpedo’ will have Jimshi Khalid behind the camera who has handled Naslen and Ganapathi’s recent ‘Alappuzha Gymkhana’ while music is taken care of by the busy bee of the industry Sushin Shyam and Vivek Harshan will be poised as the editor. The movie certainly stirs excitement with the sheer amount of talented artists joining hands.
