‘War 2’ teaser drop has been anticipated and teased by the cast and crew over the weekend as the exciting union of Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR in a complete Spy Action sequel of ‘War’ was a welcoming thought by the fans. The teaser of the movie dropped on the occasion of actor Jr NTR’s birthday on Tuesday, as hinted by Hrithik Roshan who earlier posted, “Hey @tarak9999, think you know what to expect on the 20th of May this year? Trust me you have NO idea what’s in store. Ready? #War2”.
The teaser was launched similarly with the two actors sledging each other with Hrithik’s post read, “ Be prepared, there is no place for mercy. Welcome to Hell. Love, Kabir”. The Birthday star on his teaser release posted, “Mercy doesn’t exist where I come from Kabir. I am ready for the WAR”. The sequel is set to release on 14 August 2025 in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.

The full on energetic teaser has Jr NTR’s character narrating on Kabir’s (Hrithik) glorious status as “India’s best soldier” and “Best RAW Agent” and only when fans sense it is going to be a friendly introduction, the tone shifts to a clash between the two.
Thrilling trailer cuts that juxtaposes Hrithik and Jr NTR as equal forces like the closeup to the ‘RRR’ actor’s eyes and the following opening with Hrithik’s. Cool shots of choreographed fights with Hrithik wielding a Samurai sword and NTR making an entrance with bombs or the faceoff inside what looks like a glacier with the two actors bumping fists, certainly not in a brotherly way. Kiara Advani will be striking the screens with her presence as the female lead, pairing with Hrithik Roshan.
Ayan Mukerji is helming the project that is produced by Yash Raj Films’ Aditya Chopra with Akshaye Widhani co- producing the spy thriller. The screenplay will be penned by Sridhar Raghavan, who also co-wrote the 2019 prequel with Siddharth Anand. Matching the action on screen behind the camera is Benjamin Jasper handling the cinematography. Pritam is joining the ‘War’ universe as music composer for the sequel also penned by Aditya Chopra.
