Big Changes for SBI Credit Cards Holders from April 1 – Know Details

SBI Credit Card benefits are changing from April 1, 2025. Learn about the new perks, eliminated vouchers, and how it impacts SBI cardholders.

As of April 1st 2025, SBI credit cardholders will see changes to their benefits due to the merger of Vistara and Air India. Offers changed significantly including the elimination of economy and premium economy ticket vouchers altogether available as renewal benefits. Air India’s Maharaja Club replaced Vistara’s Flying Returns program and that change has led some banks like SBI to change their credit card benefits.

What’s Changing for SBI Club Vistara Cardholders?

For current SBI Club Vistara Credit Card holders whose renewal date falls before April 1st 2025, the existing benefits will remain unchanged. They will still receive milestone benefits such as ticket vouchers and will continue to pay the annual renewal fee of ₹2,999. However, after April 1st eligible new accounts will not receive complimentary ticket vouchers upon renewal.

Unchanged Benefits for SBI Club Vistara PRIME Credit Card

Nevertheless, certain major benefits of the SBI Club Vistara PRIME credit card will not change. Cardholders will continue to earn Maharaja Points which will be 4 points for every ₹200 spent and as with previously, be transferred as points to their account on the billing date every month. It seems that those cardholders will have the perks of receiving a ₹10,000 hotel voucher once they spend ₹8 lakh each financial year.

The benefits of using domestic and international lounge access remains the same, which is 8 domestic lounges and 4 international lounges every year. Since these travel benefits have changed, SBI credit cardholders should take this opportunity to reassess their travel benefits for their leisure and work travels and consider other options.
