The highest level of competing tournament in cricket is the ‘ICC World Cup’ and it is conducted in all the three formats. The 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will begin in February 2026 and conclude in March 2026. The top tier teams have already earned the badge of qualification to take part in the prestigious WC tournament. Some of the other teams have to undergo the qualifying match to enter into the tournament. The ICC Men’s T20 WC Qualifiers commenced on 15 June 2025, and all the remaining games will be wrapped on 17 October 2025.

Yesterday, two teams sealed their spots in the ICC T20 WC including Italy and Netherlands. Italy made their first ever ICC WC tournament by winning the finals of qualifier. This highlights the legacy of cricket and the passion towards this sport in the European regions.
