ISRO is set to launch EOS-05 aboard GSLV-F17 at 2:55 AM IST on September 4, 2026. India’s first geosynchronous imaging satellite is designed to provide frequent views of the same broad region, potentially improving monitoring of cyclones, floods, forest fires and other fast-changing events.

ISRO is targeting eight launch-vehicle missions and 12 satellite missions during FY 2026-27, with GISAT-1A, the next NavIC satellite and the first uncrewed Gaganyaan flight among the key missions ahead. ISRO Chairman V. Narayanan also said around 8,000 Gaganyaan-related tests have been completed.
