India’s Electoral Roll Revision Sees More Than 13 Crore Names Deleted So Far: Why Has Delhi Recorded The Highest Share Of Exclusions?

India’s Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls has left 13.37 crore names outside draft voter lists across 30 states and Union Territories. Delhi recorded the country’s highest exclusion rate at 32.8%, with 47.56 lakh names missing from its August 31 draft roll. However, draft exclusions are not necessarily permanent, as eligible voters can file claims for inclusion before the final roll is published.
