Tamil Nadu SSLC Re-Evaluation And Re-Totalling Rules

Students who are unhappy with marks should not rush into random online claims. The official DGE process usually begins with scanned answer scripts. In the previous SSLC cycle, DGE clearly stated that only candidates who applied for scanned copies of answer scripts could later apply for revaluation or retotalling. Retotalling is different. It does not mean every answer is judged again for higher marks. DGE’s previous retotalling form said only specific issues are considered: total mistake in marks, valued answers where marks were not awarded, marks awarded but not posted on the front page, unvalued answers, and difference between answer script marks and provisional marksheet. The fee shown was Rs 205 per subject.

Choose scanned copy first if you strongly feel there may be a marking or addition issue. After checking the scanned script, choose revaluation only when you are ready for marks to go up or down. Choose retotalling when the issue looks like addition, posting, or missing marks, not quality of evaluation.
