UP Home Guard Exam Today: 5 Things You Cannot Carry To The Center

The UP Home Guard Exam Today is not only about answering questions correctly. A small mistake at the gate can stop a candidate before the paper starts. The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has scheduled the written exam for April 25, 26 and 27, 2026, across 74 districts, in two shifts: 10 am to 12 noon and 3 pm to 5 pm. Candidates get 5 extra minutes for formalities. The board has issued warnings on entry, admit card use, banned items and malpractice.

Why Candidates Must Be Extra Careful Today

UPPRPB has asked candidates to reach the centre 2 hours before the exam starts. Entry will close 30 minutes before the paper begins. A late arrival, traffic delay or wrong centre location can cost the attempt.

Candidates must carry the printed admit card, Aadhaar card or valid photo ID, and a black or blue pen. Those whose Aadhaar was not verified must report around 2.5 hours early with updated Aadhaar details.

5 Things You Cannot Carry To The Center

The board’s banned list is wide, so candidates should travel light. Do not carry these 5 categories:

  1. Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers, health bands or any electronic gadget.
  2. Watches of any type, including smart watches and ordinary wrist watches.
  3. Calculators, digital pens, scanners, camera devices, pen drives or data storage items.
  4. Printed notes, written slips, paper pieces, geometry or pencil box, plastic pouch, log table or study material.
  5. Jewellery, black glasses, handbags, caps, food, cigarettes, lighters, matchboxes and gutkha.

If any banned article is found during frisking or inside the room, the candidate may face legal action, not only entry cancellation.

Admit Card And ID Rules For Safe Entry

Check the name, roll number, shift, reporting time and exam centre address before leaving home. Print the admit card. Keep the original ID, not only a photocopy or phone image. The board uploaded admit cards in phases: April 22 for April 25, April 23 for April 26, and April 24 for April 27. Use only the official UPPRPB website.

Quick Last-Minute Checklist

Carry admit card, original ID, photos if mentioned, and one simple ballpoint pen. Leave everything else at home.

Malpractice Warning: Social Media Can Also Disqualify You

UPPRPB has warned that buying, selling, sharing, reproducing or discussing exam material through oral, written, electronic or mechanical means will be treated as serious malpractice. The warning also mentions YouTube, Twitter and Facebook. Candidates involved can be expelled from the exam and may face action.

What Candidates Should Do Before Leaving Home

Take a screenshot of the route, but keep the phone outside the centre. Eat before reporting because food items are banned. Avoid large bags because storage may not be available. Reach early, cooperate during frisking, read invigilator instructions and fill attendance details carefully.
