Why The NEET PG 2026 Provisional Answer Key Is Different

The change can be traced to the Supreme Court’s April 29, 2025 order in State of U.P. versus Bhavna Tiwari. The Court directed publication of raw scores, answer keys and normalisation formulae for transparency in multi-shift NEET PG examinations.
NBEMS responded in August 2025 by announcing that NEET PG 2025 candidates would receive the correct answer key, marked responses and score awarded for each question through applicant login. The official NBEMS August 2025 notice laid out that disclosure process. The 2026 cycle takes it earlier by introducing a provisional-key stage before result declaration.
The format still has limits. Because question order and option order can be shuffled, NBEMS uses question IDs rather than reproducing the whole paper. That preserves the examination’s non-disclosure rules while giving candidates a clearer audit trail.
