Brazilian actor-model Beatriz Taufenbach has deactivated her Instagram after a sudden wave of online backlash linked to the teaser of Yash’s upcoming film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups. The teaser, released on January 8, 2026, sparked heated reactions around a brief intimate car scene set near a cemetery, and her name quickly began trending in India’s film chatter.
What Really Happened?
Soon after the teaser went viral, Taufenbach’s profile became inaccessible, with viewers reporting the “profile isn’t available” message. Director Geetu Mohandas also addressed confusion around the actor’s identity by sharing her photo online and calling her the “cemetery girl.”
Complaints, CBFC Pressure, and the Social Media Pile-On
Political and social groups escalated the matter beyond comments and trolling. Reports say the women’s wing of the AAP filed a complaint with the Karnataka State Commission for Women, which then wrote to the CBFC seeking action. A separate complaint was also sent to the CBFC by a social activist. Coverage and updates also appeared via verified news handles, including this post.
