Delhi has approved a revised rooftop solar policy aimed at removing the upfront cost for eligible households. Homes averaging up to 400 electricity units a month in FY 2025–26 could receive rooftop solar systems of up to 3 kW without paying installation costs upfront, subject to technical feasibility. The programme targets 2.30 lakh households and 500 MW of additional rooftop capacity by March 2027.
