Mumbai's suburban railway network is set to receive Kavach 5.0, an upgraded Automatic Train Protection system designed for high-frequency local train operations. While the technology promises improved safety and the potential for more frequent services, Railway officials say it is still under development, with no confirmed rollout date yet.
